New Mexico court legalizes same-sex marriage

New Mexico is the 16th state to legalize gay marriage thanks to a state supreme court ruling Thursday.The state has no laws that directly prohibit or allow same sex marriage, however county officials from around the state asked the court to decide the constitutionality of same-sex marriage after an Albuquerque district judge ruled that denying marriage licenses to same-sex couples was unconstitutional.
